Character Head Studies

Landscapes

I have a new love for landscapes and learning how to design them. Here are some pieces from my new explorations.

These first 2 pieces were done from a landscape workshop instructed by Will Weston. 

These next 4 pieces are from my Digital Landscape class instructed by Michael Humphries. They started out as observational paintings in Gouache, including a very loose and quick black and white study. They were then taken into photoshop to boost color and lighting effects. I can't wait to work on more studies like these, as I can already see where I can improve. Enjoy!
